But the truth is that you are allowed to take up space. Your voice, your presence, your feelings, and your dreams all belong here. You don’t have to apologize for existing loudly or for wanting to be seen.

Taking up space doesn’t mean being selfish, it just means recognizing that you matter too. You deserve to speak up, to share your thoughts, to walk into a room without second guessing if you belong. Because you do. The world doesn’t need a quieter version of you, it needs the real, full, honest you. When you allow yourself to take up space, you give others permission to do the same, to show up authentically, without guilt or fear. And that’s how we all start to heal…..by realizing that everyone’s voice, including yours, deserves to be heard. It’s not arrogance, it’s literally self respect.

Remember, shrinking yourself doesn’t protect anyone, it only dims your own light. And there’s nothing humble about hiding your worth. You can be kind AND take up space, gentle AND firm, compassionate AND confident. The two aren’t opposites, they coexist beautifully. 🌸
